About this game

Fly a paper lantern through a night of fireworks, slip through the gaps and outlast everyone.

In Spark Escape you fly a paper wish lantern through a fireworks night over the Princes' Islands. The lantern follows your finger as you drag; find the gaps between bursting rings, spinning pinwheels, curtains of falling sparks and fountains that sweep the sky. When you are cornered, double tap and the lantern darts straight through the sparks for a moment. The endless sky gives you three lives and counts every second you last, while each of the six island levels ends at the first spark.

How to play

  1. Drag your finger: the lantern follows its movement, so your finger never hides it.
  2. Watch the rising shell: the gap in the dashed ring is the safe way once it bursts.
  3. Cornered? Double tap or press the button at the bottom right to dash through the sparks.
  4. Collect stars, grab the shield and the magnet. When the third life is gone, tap once to play again.

Controls

  • Drag your finger or move the mouse: the lantern follows
  • Double tap, the button at the bottom right or Space: dash
  • Arrow keys or WASD: fly
  • Tap or Space: start and play again
  • Esc or P: pause

Tips

  • Every firework warns you first: a rising shell, a pinwheel spinning up, buds glowing at the top, a fountain lighting up on the wall.
  • The dash takes two seconds to recharge; keep it for the last moment.
  • The sky is the same for everyone that day; your longest run counts.

Questions and answers

Is it free?

Yes, you can play it for free. There are no ads inside the game.

What are the island levels?

Six islands, each a fixed fireworks show: last 30 to 45 seconds, and try again if a single spark touches you. Each island opens the next one; the first four each teach a new kind of firework, the last two mix them all, more densely. The daily challenge is your longest run in the endless sky.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It is made for one thumb in portrait mode: drag to fly, double tap to dash. On a computer the mouse, or the arrow keys and the Space bar, is all you need.
